The Intercongregational Partnership Committee
The Intercongregational Partnership Committee (IPC, also know as the IPPIEs) between BJC and Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church (BHPC) has been in operation since the completion of our prayer space in Convenant Hall in 2002. We plan a wide variety of activities of mutual interest to our two congregations - and in recent years, with the Idara-e-Jaferia mosque. Some of our recent activities have included:
- Our annual three-way Thanksgiving service and brunch - see article
- Joint bible study evenings
- Co-sponsored speaker programs on subjects of national, international, and inter-religious interest
- Joint house building and renovation projects with Habitat for Humanity and Rebuilding Together/Yachad
- Joint educational and awareness-raising programs in support of the people of Darfur
- Joint grounds cleaning and planting on our grounds and at the National Center for Children and Families
- Joint social and musical evenings, such as our Cabaret and AIDS Concerts
The IPC is always looking for new and interesting activities with our friends at BHPC and the Idara-e-Jaferia, so please let us know if you have ideas for additional projects. We also welcome your involvement on our committee, and in any of our joint activities. For more information, please contact Gary Sampliner at gary.sampliner@treasury.gov.
